Our program is meticulously curated by a doctoral-level behavior analyst and a lifelong education specialist, ensuring that each child receives the gold standard of 21st-century education.

Focusing on each child’s strengths, DIA is committed to guiding students to achieve their maximum potential and focus on their abilities and straights.

Preschool and Kindergarten

Our classrooms are designed in a Montessori-style layout, organized into learning areas such as math, language, art, functional living, science, culture, and sensory. We offer a diverse range of classes, including STEAM, art, science, music, physical education, yoga, math, and cooking, among others. Learning extends beyond the classroom, with various outdoor spaces for horticulture, agriculture, and functional living. As early as 2 years old, children are introduced to meditation, yoga, and mindfulness through engaging activities. Our play-based activities and STEAM curriculum help students transition into the academic world, with small class sizes allowing for personalized and engaging learning experiences.

Elementary

In our elementary grades, we employ multi-leveled classrooms, departing from the traditional age-based grouping. Recent studies highlight the benefits of multi-aged groups, fostering enhanced collaboration, peer learning, real-world preparedness, and improved social skills. Our curriculum is centered on Project-Based Learning (PBL), emphasizing hands-on, real-world experiences that enable students to acquire and apply knowledge and skills. PBL projects are often multidisciplinary, addressing complex, open-ended questions and problems, promoting deep understanding, critical thinking, collaboration, and practical skill development.

Junior High

Similar to our elementary grades, junior high classrooms utilize multi-leveled groups, providing diverse learning opportunities. Our curriculum continues to focus on Project-Based Learning (PBL), enhancing collaboration, peer learning, real-world preparedness, and social skills.

High School

Our high school program follows the same innovative approach, with multi-leveled classrooms. Project-Based Learning (PBL) remains the cornerstone of our curriculum, fostering deeper understanding, critical thinking, collaboration, and practical skill development.
At Dominicus International Academy, all our students are enrolled through Homelife Academy in the United States. The diploma and transcripts issued by Homelife Academy are internationally recognized, including in the Dominican Republic. Students completing their studies at DIA will require an apostille and legal translation of documents. For those seeking education within the Dominican Republic, they will need to complete the ‘homologacion’ process with the Department of Education.
